I had to read that sentence about 5 times before it finally dawned on my what it said. There was something about seeing the word "refuse" (as in, a refusal to do something) so close to the word "rubbish" that kept my brain seeing it as the word "refuse" (as in, the trash that people leave behind them)... Brains are strange things sometimes!
