160:365 How green is my back yard?

In summer the whole backyard is brown. There is plenty of dirt to see and little if any grass. Its amazing how it grows back to this lush grass. I have mowed more this year than last year. Its a shame that the weeds have also grown well this year.

159:365 Cold morning

This morning was one of the coldest mornings we've had so far this winter. There was a frost and some ice on the bird bath. Luckily the sun was shining as it does when there's a frost and was a joy to sit in during the day.

158:365 Narines

The narines are the best ever this year. They have survived the drought and the rain this year has ensured they have plenty of flowers.

156:365 Friends?

To be friends or not? They play touch tiggy and swipe at each other followed by a chase around the house. One short hair and one long hair. Timmy and Milo. Timmy, shorthair and the owner of the house will have a play but can be sooky and make a horrible meeeoooowww as if he is being strangled when he is hardly touched. Milo makes a ppppplllllllll noise. When Timmy has had enough he goes away to find somewhere to sleep. This scratching post that Carey made is a great meeting place for them in the morning and they both like catching the sunshine.

155:365 City in the forest

No way would these trams hit the street in summer. It was a tourism statement- Bendigo City in the Forest, but when temperatures are over 35 deg C and bushfires a threat this tram is kept away in a shed somewhere. The talking trams have a narration as you drive along the streets of Bendigo telling you the history of Bendigo. We are surrounded by forest which is nice if you like the bush but also a trap if bushfires strike.

154:365 The Gallery Cafe Part 2

This is the Gallery Cafe where I had breakfast yesterday. It's behind the Bendigo Art Gallery in View St Bendigo. As it faces east it gets the full morning sun and is glorious for breakfast. The day deteriorated and as I left the city for home clouds were beginning to move in. By late afternoon rain came but just enough to wet the washing and make the grass unmowable.

153:365 Breakfast@The Gallery Cafe

There are so many wonderful shots at The Gallery Cafe. This is the poppet head that stands at the top of Rosiland Park and gives you beautiful views around Bendigo. It may be June but it's a glorious sunfilled morning and the food is delicious.

152:365 Early morning

Not the best quality as I zoomed on my iPhone. But you get the picture. Imagine going to school so early in the dark.
So many great picture moments.

151:365 Trinkets

This is my small trinket box that I have on my bedside table. It's very small and only big enough for a necklace or earrings.

150:365 Berry Muffins

They certainly get eaten fast these muffins. The berry ones will be nice and I've added some real blackberries, blueberries and raspberries to the top. Oh yes I also added some white choc chips. Will these last 2 days?

149:365 Winter Picture

An early morning shot using zoom on my iPhone. Not the best, I will have to use a real camera next time I see a great cold morning shot. The fog rolls in down the valley in layers and lifts as the sun emerges.

148:365 Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Cinnamon apple muffins with the added slice of apple. Mmmmm. They smelled nice when they were baking and tasted just as nice. Funny thing these muffins aren't lasting long and these ones are 97% fat free.

147:365 Chocolate Muffins

Winter makes us hungry so these chocolate chip muffins will be great. Looks like I'll have to run further or swim further.
